They first crossed paths at Megan and Dre’s St. Patrick’s Day party. Erik was a little nervous to approach someone as cute as Rachel, so the next day he texted Megan and Dre to ask about her. Lucky for him, she was curious too, and they’ve been each other’s good luck charm ever since.

Erik wanted to recreate the day he knew he wanted to spend forever with Rachel. So, he planned a picnic at her favorite spot in Detroit, Michigan Central Station. As the afternoon came to a close, he handed her a love letter hidden inside her favorite romance novel... and then got down on one knee.

We were set on an intimate elopement somewhere beautiful and romantic, but then we realized just how many people we love and couldn’t imagine celebrating without. Mexico was the perfect place to bring everyone together—and it's also a special tribute to one of Rachel’s heritages.
