WHAT IS AVAILABLE AT THE RESORT AND WHAT DOES ALL-INCLUSIVE REALLY MEAN?

how long should i stay?

You can stay as long as you would like. We recommend arriving at least 1-2 days before the wedding in case of any travel delays. The resort requires a minimum 3-night stay to qualify for our wedding discounted rate. Erik and Rachel will be staying October 12-19, but please feel free to make this your vacation and stay as long or as little as you would like. Danielle, our destination wedding planner, can assist you with this. Don't hesitate to contact her via the button at the bottom of this page for a personalized quote.

When should i book accomodations

ASAP!

RSVPs are due by October 16, 2025, and all reservations must be made by March 16, 2026, with final payment due by May 16, 2026. After your reservation is made, a payment link can be sent whenever convenient for you and will be automatically sent on the first Friday of each month by our wedding planner, Danielle, with Paradise Bliss Destination Weddings. Click the link at the bottom of this page to contact Danielle for more information

If you have not yet made your reservation but still plan to attend, we recommend that you book as soon as possible. This is a very popular resort that usually sells out!

Where do we fly into and how far away is the resort from the airport?

The closest airport to Valentin is the Cancun International Airport (CUN). The resort is approximately 30 minutes away from the airport. Transportation can be booked with Danielle and is cheaper if you book with others in our group. Danielle can assist with flights, if you would like, or you can use Google Flights or your favorite airline carrier.

Yes, a passport is required to enter Mexico and must be valid for 6 months following your entry date. Therefore, if your passport is set to expire anytime before April 2027, you will not be able to enter the country. We recommend renewing as far in advance as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to Danielle (contact information is listed at the bottom of this page).

DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO?

what if I want a different room than whats offered?

We have reserved different types of rooms in our room block based on what we believe you might like, but others may be available. Click the link at the bottom of this page to contact Danielle, our destination wedding planner, for more information

The resort offers tours outside of the resort at an additional cost, including swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling adventures, local market/shopping tours, horseback riding, sailing/sunset cruises, glass bottom boats, camel rides, ATVs, zip lines, and so much more!

Danielle can help prearrange any of your excursions. For ideas/pricing, please click here. Alternatively, if you would like to wait until you are on-site, that works too, the resort tour desk can assist you with this.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

For the wedding, elevated beach cocktail attire, no shorts please - but sandals are completely acceptable. Think linen pants, shirts, and a sport jacket (if you like jackets). thin or cooler fabrics, and short or long dresses in comfortable summer fabrics. Stay tuned for more information!

Valentin restaurants have a evening dress code: Night Casual. Ladies: Dresses, blouses, skirts, dress jeans (not torn nor ragged), capri pants, elegant Bermudas, dress shoes & elegant sandals. (Beachwear, sportswear, t-shirts, short shorts, tennis shoes, or beach sandals are not allowed.) Gentlemen: Long pants only (includes elegant jeans, not torn nor ragged ), shirt with collar and long or short sleeves (it can be a polo shirt, a classic shirt, as long as it has a collar and sleeves), elegant shoes. (Beachwear, sportswear, 3/4 pants, Bermudas, t-shirts, tennis shoes, tank tops, or sandals are not allowed.)

HOW MUCH DO I TIP?

Taxes and gratuities are included with your stay. However, I recommend going a bit above the general tipping policy, but ultimately, that is all up to you; nothing is required!

  • Bring small US bills for tipping if you plan on doing so this will make everything easier for you to know how much you are tipping at a time.

  • Housekeeping: $3-$5/per room, depending on how they keep the room and if they do any little extras- like restocking the minibar with things you have mentioned you like, towel animals, little notes, extra towels, etc.

  • Bartenders/Bar Staff: If you are just going for a drink or two $1 is sufficient. If you plan on being at the swim-up bar, beach, or pool all day and want to keep the wait and bar staff coming back, tip heavily on your first drink, then tip again every few drinks or so. Start with a $5-$10 for heavy orders, then repeat as necessary.

  • Wait staff: I recommend $5 depending on how great they service you.

  • Concierge: If you request dinner reservations (not needed, except at the Hibachi Tables), extra excursions, or just anything a bit "extra" it never hurts to tip the concierge for going above and beyond- they will remember you and may give you priority reservations!

  • Bellmen, transportation drivers: I recommend $1/bag unless the transportation driver acted as a tour guide and gave me insight into the area, suggestions of local attractions/things to do, etc., then I recommend $5 or more/per person.
