Our love story
After being a single mom for many years, Janna was hesitant to dive back into the dating game. Her younger sister Diana had to convince her to set up a Tinder account. Once she finally did, it wasn’t long before her and James (who had been on Tinder for much longer than Janna) “swiped right” on each other. After texting for a few days, they decided to meet up for an evening drink.

On the night of October 16th in 2021 James asked Janna to grab a drink with him at the bar that they had their first date, Culpeppers Pub & Grill in North Andover, Massachusetts. Janna had no idea that James was going to propose. James’s mom was in town and this was the first night James and Janna would have an evening to themselves since baby Jacob was born. Just before they were about to leave the bar after a relaxing evening of conversation, James romantically got down on one knee and popped the question to Janna. James was very happy (and relieved) that Janna immediately said yes and the rest of the night was filled with phone calls to family and friends to spread the exciting news.

James and Janna chose a destination wedding because Janna is originally from the Dominican Republic, and she always dreamed of getting married on a tropical beach. James loves being in a tropical climate during the wintertime. James and Janna are most excited about sharing such a special day in our lives with friends and family! (Escaping winter in the middle of February doesn’t hurt either.)
