how long should i stay?

Hannah and Mateusz will be arriving Monday, May 12, and staying through Sunday, May 18. Please plan the trip that best accommodates a vacation for you! Come earlier, stay later, or make it a quick weekend getaway — just keep in mind there is a three-night minimum.

What to pack?

Since the temperature can be quite warm we recommend bringing light summer clothing including swimsuits, light casual dresses, cover-ups, and linen-style pants to keep cool. Make sure to note the restaurant dress code noted below. If you plan on going on any excursions closed-toed athletic shoes may be required.

Other helpful essentials include sunblock (lots and lots of sunblock, the sun is very intense in Mexico so please be prepared), water shoes, bug spray, aloe or afterburn, flip-flops, rash guard, pain reliever, Pepto Bismal, antacids, sunglasses, sun hat, large refillable water bottle, straw (metal - only paper ones are handed out with drinks), books, etc.

If you like to float in the pool, bring a pool floatie! While not necessary, it is nice to have your own to relax and enjoy with.

There will be a small shop on-site, but prices are quite high so make sure to come prepared!

Before packing remember TSA rules for smooth sailing through security checkpoints:

  • No liquids, including sealed water bottles, are permitted.

  • Liquids, gels, and aerosols packed in carry-on must follow the 3-1-1 liquids rule: 3.4 ounces or less per container, 1-quart size, clear, plastic, zip-top bag (all liquids must fit in the bag), 1 bag per passenger. Placed bag in the front pocket of your carry-on for accessibility.

  • If purchasing a bag lock, be sure to look for those that are TSA-approved

  • Do not pack items such as box cutters, utility knives, and razors in carry-on luggage. Razor blades intended for shaving that is enclosed in a safety cartridge in which the blade cannot be removed are permitted.

  • Pack large electronics on the top layer of the carry-on for screening accessibility. These also may be required for removal from your bag through checkpoints. TSA agents will guide you

  • Note the baggage weight limit for all checked bags and bag size for both carry-on and checked bags. This may vary across airlines.

  • Most airlines only allow one carry-on and one personal item per person - please double-check with your airline and be aware of this as you board the plane.

What is the wedding dress code?

While we’ll be celebrating in Mexico, our wedding ceremony and reception will be held at The Arch and Plaza rather than on the beach. However, we kindly ask that guests follow a semi-formal beach attire dress code, that blends comfort with style.

For Men:
-Opt for lightweight, breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, or seersucker.
-Fun prints such as tropical patterns, florals, or subtle stripes are encouraged.
-A sports coat or blazer is optional but recommended for a polished look.
-Dress pants or tailored shorts are acceptable, paired with dress shoes, loafers or boat shoes.
-No need for a tie, but a well-fitted shirt (button-down or short-sleeve) is a must.

For Women:
-Flowing dresses or jumpsuits in breathable fabrics (cotton, linen, chiffon) are ideal.
-Playful prints, pastels, and tropical colors are encouraged.
-Dressy sandals, block heels or wedges work well, but please avoid stilettos due to gravel/rocky areas and deck in reception space.

For our Wedding Welcome Cocktail dress code, we are encouraging all guests to wear white!

In addition, some of the restaurants on-site have dress code requirements.

  • Casual Elegance (most dinner dining locations): Sneakers or Dress Sandals (no flip-flops). Dress shirts with sleeves and long pants are required for men.

  • Casual: Bermudas (long shorts or capri pants), sneakers/ tennis shoes, or sandals. No sleeveless shirts for men. Women must wear a bathing suit wrap or cover-up.

  • Daytime Casual: Bathing suit, cover-ups, shorts, tops, and sandals required
