Looking for Tyler and Haley’s wedding registry?
Can i bring a plus one?
Absolutely! We understand that you are traveling a long way to celebrate with us, we want you to have the best time possible! Just be sure to RSVP for the correct number of people in your party via the wedding website
how long should i stay?
You can stay as long as you would like. We recommend arriving at least 1-2 days before the wedding in case of any travel delays. The resort requires at least a 3 night stay to quality for our wedding discounted rate. Most guests are staying at the resort 12/12-12/16, but you are welcome stay in paradise as long as you want!
Where do we fly into and how far away is the resort from the airport?
The closest airport to Lopesan Costa Bavaro is the Punta Cana (PUJ) airport. The resort is approximately 20-30 minutes away from the airport, depending on traffic. Transportation is included with your room accommodation and Danielle will assist you with coordinating.
As a reminder, a passport book is required to travel to Punta Cana and must be valid for 6 months following your entry date. Therefore, if your passport is set to expire anytime before June 2025, you will not be able to enter Punta Cana. We recommend renewing as far in advance as possible. What is the wedding dress code?
The wedding dress code is elegant beach cocktail attire, including button-up tropical shirts for men and light dresses for women. Of course, they want you to be comfortable, yet ready to get the part started. Think island tropical, then you’ve got the right idea. Just remember, no flip-flops! :)
There are dress code requirements for some of the restaurants on-site.
‘Evening casual’: ladies can wear dresses, jeans, shorts and T-shirts, while men can wear jeans, shorts and T-shirts.
‘Evening elegant’: ladies are required to wear dresses, long pants, dress shoes or sandals. Men must wear long trousers (chinos or jeans), short- or long-sleeved shirts, with or without a collar, dress shoes or sandals.
What do I pack?
Since the temperature can be quite warm we recommend bringing light summer clothing including swimsuits, light casual dresses, cover-ups, and linen-style pants to keep cool. Make sure to note the restaurant dress code above. If you plan on going on any excursions closed-toed athletic shoes may be required.
Other helpful essentials include sunblock (lots and lots of sunblock, the sun is very intense in Punta Cana so please be prepared), water shoes, bug spray, aloe or afterburn, flip-flops, rash guard, pain reliever, Pepto Bismal, antacids, sunglasses, sun hat, large refillable water bottle, straw (metal - only paper ones are handed out with drinks), books, etc.
If you like to float in the pool, bring a pool floatie! While not necessary, it is nice to have your own to relax and enjoy with.
There will be a small shop on-site, but prices are quite high so make sure to come prepared!
Before packing remember TSA rules for smooth sailing through security checkpoints:
No liquids, including sealed water bottles, are permitted.
Liquids, gels, and aerosols packed in carry-on must follow the 3-1-1 liquids rule: 3.4 ounces or less per container, 1-quart size, clear, plastic, zip-top bag (all liquids must fit in the bag), 1 bag per passenger. Placed bag in the front pocket of your carry-on for accessibility.
If purchasing a bag lock, be sure to look for those that are TSA-approved
Do not pack items such as box cutters, utility knives, and razors in carry-on luggage. Razor blades intended for shaving that is enclosed in a safety cartridge in which the blade cannot be removed are permitted.
Pack large electronics on the top layer of the carry-on for screening accessibility. These also may be required for removal from your bag through checkpoints. TSA agents will guide you
Note the baggage weight limit for all checked bags and bag size for both carry-on and checked bags. This may vary across airlines.
Most airlines only allow one carry-on and one personal item per person - please double-check with your airline and be aware of this as you board the plane.
Don’t forget these important details!
You may want to bring “Damp Rid”, while it certainly is not going to make a huge impact on your stay, it will leave your room and clothing feeling less “damp”, because of the high humidity and A/C
Don’t be afraid to order multiple appetizers, entrees & desserts - you are at an all-inclusive! Everything is included, so why not so big?!
Download What’s App, which is a free messaging service you can use on WiFi to connect with family and friends.
Notify your credit cards of your travel plans, so if you use it internationally they know to accept those charges on your behalf
Don’t forget your passport and arrive at the airport with plenty of extra time to spare. It is recommended to arrive 3 hours before your flight for an international booking.
